Chicken Pox

6 April 2013

hello again
It's so cold and my daffs aren't blooming. Hope this cold snap ends soon. brrrrr
I started making this shadow box yesterday and I'd almost finished it when my two grandsons turned up at teatime to stay for a few days. The oldest boy, Freddie, who's just turned 6, has still got a few chicken pox left on his face from the week before. But his younger brother, Louie, who's nearly 3, is absolutely covered in them!
Their Dad and Uncle Matt (my two sons) told me to go straight to my Mums in case I caught it. I have a weak immune system and apparently I could catch it easily. Of course I wouldn't want shingles so I had to abandon my project and drive to my Mums bungalow, which, incidentally, is lovely and warm and quiet, which suits me. Here is a pic of my shadow box. I think that's what they are called and this is my first one. I will post when I've finished it and explain how I did it.

Last week Freddie and Louie were playing with me in my craft area (in my front room on the dining room table!). They made some lovely background pictures using the shaving foam technique with mica sprays.

Freddie had a few spots on his face and Louie's face was so clear! You should see him now!
bye for now
Sue xx
